BAC Challenge

What is BAC 100?

The Blackyak Alpine Club (BAC) 100 is a peak-bagging certification program run by Korean outdoor brand Blackyak — not a government body. Hikers summit all 100 designated mountains and verify each climb using the official BAC app (GPS check-in + photo at the summit marker).

The list overlaps heavily with the Korea Forest Service's official 100 Famous Mountains, but isn't identical — Blackyak curated its own selection based on popularity, accessibility, and scenic value. Finishing all 100 is one of the most respected achievements in Korean hiking culture.

A Korean Hiker Writing About Korea's Mountains

Working through the BAC 100 — Blackyak's 100 Famous Mountains challenge — one peak at a time. Every trail I complete gets a full write-up so the rest of the world can follow the same path.

I also film my hikes on YouTube — real trail footage with no edits, so you can see exactly what to expect.
